RoboForex has been operating since 2009 and runs one of the most extensive partner programs among brokers popular in Eastern Europe. It shares revenue from every trade with the partner who referred the trader. That payment is called an IB commission, and its size depends on two things: the account type and the instrument.

On a Pro account the broker earns from the spread, and that spread is wider than on ECN. So RoboForex keeps more revenue per lot β and a larger share goes to the partner. On ECN the spread starts at zero and the broker charges a separate per-lot commission, so the IB payment is lower.
The practical takeaway: if you trade manually and aren't chasing every tenth of a pip, Pro with a $9 per lot rebate often works out cheaper than a "low-cost" ECN account. The rebate returns a noticeable part of the spread. If your strategy is a few-pip scalp or an EA that needs a zero spread, stay on ECN β $2.70 per lot is still a real saving.
A cent lot is one hundredth of a standard lot, so the rate is 100 times lower too: $0.10 per lot from the broker, $0.09 of it to you. 100 cent lots earn $9 β the same as one lot on Pro. For a beginner it's a way to recover part of the cost while testing a strategy with small amounts.
